বাখুর কি? ঘরকে সুগন্ধিমোদিত করতে বাখুর বা ওউদ পোড়ানো আরববিশ্বে বেশ প্রচলিত। আমাদের দেশে ধূপ জ্বালানো পরিচিত হলেও বাখুরের ব্যবহার সম্পর্কে মানূষের ধারণা নেই। এই ব্যাপারে হাদীসের কিতাবসমূহে বেশ অনেক হাদীস পাওয়া যায়। প্রিয় রাসুলের (সাল্লাল্লাহ ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) একটি সুন্নাহ হওয়ার পাশাপাশি এর বিবিধ কিছু উপকারও রয়েছে।
যেমন, বুখারীর চিকিৎসা অধ্যায়ে এসেছেঃ উম্মে মিহসান (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, “আমি রাসুল (সাল্লাল্লাহ ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম) কে বলতে শুনেছি , “তোমরা ভারতীয় এই চন্দনকাঠ ব্যবহার করবে। কেননা, তার মধ্যে সাত ধরনের চিকিৎসা রয়েছে। শ্বাসনালীর ব্যাথার জন্য এর ধোঁয়া নাক দিয়ে টেনে নেওয়া যায়। নিউমোনিয়ার জন্যও তা সেবন করা যায়। …..”” (বুখারীঃ চিকিৎসা অধ্যায়)
